Senior operations engineer

Join our team as a Senior Operations Engineer specializing in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) technologies. You'll play a crucial role in operations and project leadership, serving as an SME for our products.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

• Provide expert-level support for VMware VCF and HPE infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure system integrity and performance through regular maintenance.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain service availability and reliability.

Project Assignments

• Act as an SME for VMware VCF and HPE technologies throughout project phases.
• Contribute to project design, planning, and implementation.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain project documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and system performance.
• Stay updated on VMware and HPE industry trends.
• Assist in capacity planning and best practices for security, backup, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in IT operations focusing on VMware and HPE technologies.
• Proven experience managing VMware Cloud Foundation environments and HPE solutions.

Skills

• Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, vSAN, NSX).
• Strong knowledge of HPE servers, storage, and networking.
• Scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Certifications

• VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP) preferred.
• HPE certifications (e.g., HPE ASE) are a plus.
